Toward the end of WWII America and Britain fought side by side

Nazi Germany was being infiltrated and there was nowhere to hide

Lieutenant Calvin Eells and his troops encountered several Nazi's back then.

The Allies were slowly moving into the heart of the fatherland

The myth of the invincible German soldier simply did not stand

Bridge by bridge American tanks roared over their land

They made a vow to push forward and never look back

With a shortage of supplies they were consistently under attack

In the mist of battle many of Cal’s buddies did not survive

Although badly bleeding and wounded he made it back alive

The Germans had scored a direct hit on their tank that day

The tank had caught on fire and very few men got away

Other troops continued the battle to ensure Nazi Germany would be no more

But let’s not forget the dead and the wounded who helped us reach victory’s door!
