Have you look at the face of anyone in a mirror and then directly to their flesh, back to the mirror and again to the face, noticed the difference? Why?
Last morning suddenly the thought came to my mind while shaving, and need to fetch a photo and compare, there, in the photo or in the mirror was the other one...

as I contemplated the man looking back at me,
a complete different face of the morning mirror
compared with any other of my photography’s,
I am the same and yet so different that I can’t
say that they are one and the same with certainty.
Go look in the mirror, look at the reflexion well
then fetch a recent photo of yourself, what you see?
put it side by side with your mirror, look at them
discover that you aren’t what you are supposed to be,
in awe, find out that you have been living a life
with two faces, the one you wear, the other you see,
they aren’t the same ones and you are lost for words,
Oh my friend! What then should we can call thee?
I try to avoid looking in the mirror, for I always see my Mother's face looking back at me. HUGS! SC

This writing seems so true. I have seen lovely people....then the people who take the photos for the drivers license distorts their image. Many persons are unrecognizable in the photo- Never use the license photo for your little mirror comparison-unless you want to look really good that day.

Nostradamus liked mirrors too Georg, seein the future, if you pay real close attention you can see your face changing as you watch it, that is looking into the future also ha, otherwise I would say, you gots too much time on your hands, or you like yourself a lot ha, besides, you no need shaving Halloween will accommodate your good looks won't it. Wow what a poem. Lately I've been avoiding the mirror, been sick, don't wanna see. Jim came home from the mountains and first thing he said was, "you look like death warmed over" holy cow, what does that mean? Georg, a very profound and well written poem. We should all examine at different times in our lives, who the person is in the mirror. At this point in my life, I see myself for who I truly am, and put out the face that I am with no hidden agendas...Thanks for this eye opening poem.

Yep, the face in the photo is Georg the playful and friendly; the face you show to your friends. But you know the dark and ghasty truth. The face in the mirror is pure-dee rascal :-)
I've heard some folks say, so and so was a two faced ???? not so nice Georg. I try not to look at the person in my mirror, I suppose I have seen scarier things though. Thank you for sharing.
Well Georg your work and poetry is always excellant but this one is a gem, it is well written, makes the author not only think but participate (I actually tried this) and makes us all ponder for a moment the lifes we lead. Well done my friend.
