A whimsical view of life

Poem Artwork

I find the sun burns upside down

The stars burn bright each day

And jabborwacky’s laugh with glee

To hear the mountains play

The sound I hear is corn agrowin

And birds a sittin down

And when the bunnys tongues go waggin

I hear the monkeys say

Oh where did laughter go today?

And why are rivers running dry?

It taxes sensibility to see

The trees go dancing by

Yet on a mountain top

so cold and pearly white

a kite with many colors floats

with whiskey on its breath

be careful what your dreams tell you

for many are but figments

the truth is that I cannot do

a million things this instant

Very well said my friend! We all need to slow down and move one step at a time toward our destiny. I loved reading this, thank you for sharing!

Much peace, love, and light,

I love the ending. The kite with many colors speaks volume about many good things.

Well done. A pleasure to read. And it's true, one cannot do a million things this instant. Baby steps is what it's about, but still they have to be taken in the direction you want to go.

The answer is blowin' in the wind, the pace of life twirling just about right on one of those whimsical fish Amish windvanes, I whispered wrong shows us the pace of life displays itself in those times we can capture a hat on a cat or a Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat...yea, we're aware of all these things you mention, but you're right "the truth is that I cannot do a million things this instant". Happy Mothers Day, Sandi! And what a line this is!

"a kite with many colors floats

with whiskey on its breath"

For some reason, your poem makes me think of "Alice in Wonderland." Interesting, Sandi. Thanks for sharing. Love and best wishes,

Regis
