Spring comes...work on it!

Poem Artwork

Baggy face, rub your lazy eyes awake.
Goodness gracious, look at you - a disgrace!
Those extra layers Spring uncovers such mistake.
Unseated winter heavy weight, displace!

Stand up! Stretch. Bend over. Lower, slower. Hold.
Exhale. Now, uplift stiff torso, upper limbs.
Reach higher. Pull. You ache you say? Don’t fold!
Journey’s many more treadmill miles begins.

Look in mirror. Be ruthless! Recognize?
Let’s recover some of who you used to be.
Lose that spare part ‘round the middle. Resize.
Stroke, pummel, massage visage worth the see.

As we write, count 6 weeks or so's reprieve:
Mold, remake yourself, best you can retrieve!
