Poems of Faith

I pray for those who do not know my Lord

For they have somehow gone astray.

Jesus Christ is the living word

He lives for us and through us as we live each day.

His life is great and his forgiveness never fails

That’s why I understand his love

His spirit moves me like wind on the sails

Of a ship that is guided by Gods son, the Dove.

Know his love and live it well

Know his peace that frees our minds

Know words of joy that make our hearts swell.

Let our hearts not be confused or blind.

Lord, your shoulders carry a heavy load.
You hear my prayers both good and bad.
Still you lead me down the narrow road
You cry with me when I am sad
I lift my eyes up high to you
For strength to see me through each day
You help me do the things I do
And teach me how I ought to pray.
So my prayers to you both old and new
are from the heart and full of love
Because Jesus Christ gives me faith and power
You help me over my weakest hour.

Our world, you see can only be
If good can quiet the evil in you and me.
It is not Heaven we live in today
but it could be Hell where we will stay
if good does not disqualify
Horrors that are constantly floating by.
God gives us forgiveness and wonderful grace
without which you and I cannot face
His love and goodness given throughout time
for without life this is just a rhyme.
But let us know that Good survives
Without it our souls grow weak and dives
Into blackness from which we cannot free
Ourselves because we simply cannot see
The tree was cut down and we missed not its leaves
Until we found there was no breeze
And we could not breathe because you see
We breath the oxygen from the tree.
So think before your axe destroys
remembering that when you hear the horrible noise
of a dying tree,
it will soon be the end of you and me.

Satan’s biggest success in this world today

Is making us believe he does not exist.

This makes us lose our convictions making it easier to stray

away from the true word of God, making us to weak to resist.

The sin of omission for we lose the faith we need each day

Forgetting that Christ died for all of us high upon the cross

So that poor souls like you and I may never found we’re lost.

We must not give up our faith in God or in his only son

For the loss of faith in Jesus Christ would surely be our loss.

Praise God I say and Praise him loud

And praise his only son
And then when our earthly lives come to an end, our true life will have begun.
