Out of a sky of gray came a single flake of white
Followed by another and then a sister and a brother.
They floated gracefully to the ground
Where where each and every one had found
This was a place to rest so they congregated there.
Soon they were on the ground, the trees and everywhere.
This was when the children came out to play.
The flakes heard the childrens voices say,
“Let’s build a snowman and let’s have a snowball fight.”
Let us play in this wonderland until the coming of the night.”
Then we will go inside and have hot chocolate by the fire
And tomorrow we will play in the snow till our hearts desire.
In the glistening snow each and every single day
Until the snow of glorious white finds warm temperatures come our way
And then the wonderland of snow will melt away.
When the snow has gone we’ll know that we enjoyed it while it was here.
The hours of fun in the snow are memories we’ll hold dear.
