Not alone but knew it not

She felt that she had fallen thus feeling hopeless and full of fear

The voice of God gently spoke of love and forgiveness but alas she could not hear

In her distraught mind she felt abandoned; not knowing God was always near

In Heaven cherubs accompanied her moans, matching her cries tear for tear

She hid herself in total silence, afraid to permit herself to pray

For if she did she knew not what, if anything there was that she could say

As she went through this consternation God and Angels waited patiently

While she floundered in trepidation trapped in deep anxiety

Oh what joy there was in Heaven above when she finally heard God’s voice

The Son of God then cleansed her of all transgression; taking them with him to the cross

In so doing; he wiped away all wrongdoing leaving her with no sense of loss

For her Heavenly Father and his Son carried her and liability and self-reproach away

So she could live to dedicate herself to God through Jesus Christ from that very day
