I comes once a year. It serves to announce the soon to come winter ahead!

Poem Artwork

The skies may start the day with clouds of gray

Only to shine at evening time with a setting sun to end the day

The leaves are turning from green to with reds and burgundy and gold

An autumn breeze blows gently sometimes and gusts that are exciting and bold

Those clouds that started the day with shades of gray may quickly become scattered and fluffy white

The wind that blows high up in the sky may cause them to swirl into shapes; a beautiful sight

One never knows what comes next for summer has taken its leave and we prepare for winters onset

We watch as the leaves cleave to the limbs of the trees knowing they will soon let go in regret

The temperature drops and then rises; we put on jackets which we may quickly remove once more

We greet each coming day with a curious uncertainty as to what is in store

In our near future is Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and more
