It was with great pain that you gave birth

But you made me feel that it was not without worth

You bathed me and nursed me and fed me from your breast

You nourished me and coddled me, of all loves yours was the best

As I grew sometimes I was not a perfect little angel, this I know

However you protected me and watched over me wherever we may go

Then one day the Lord came and from us took you away

I must tell you that I have missed your devotion from that very day

I know you are with God in Heaven, yet I remember you in my prayers

I’m coming, Mom and join you, Mom when 

                     I  leave  behind life’s’ cares
