It is drizzling rain and the skies are gray
It forms a crust on the snow on this February Saturday
I contemplate the drops dripping from the holy tree
I find myself latent in a personal reverie
I am counting down the days till the coming of spring
I long to hear the song of the homecoming birds as they sing
Spring will soon come and with it natures resurrection
The grass, trees and flowers will enjoy a new restoration
I will once more submerge myself in the renewal of spring
And watch the buds come to life on the trees, rosebush and everything
My heart is yearning for this beautiful transformation
As the trees dress up and greet the sun with grateful exultation
We shall all cry out with joy for spring will have sprung
And we shall all join in to sing the most beautiful songs ever sung
With Love,
Cindy
