... Seems we are on the same page today, Ron - or at least will be when I get round to posting! But, life is a gift and if we feel like today is our booby prize, then perhaps it just means it's our turn to give - then, whadyano?! Suddenly joy peaks in through the windows again! You articulate well the sense of futility and frustration we can sometimes feel both externally and internally. Such is the human condition, but being deprived of rest and well-being is a most powerful filter and lens through which to gaze and judge. Take cover until the storm is past! The sun is always there, even when not seen... I do hope you feel much better soon. LOL Kate xx

It is the hope that we will realize our dreams that keeps us going and as you say, in death we are alone to face the accumulation of our deeds for the years spent here. Sometimes life does seem like a huge struggle and like we never get will ahead as we wonder if we will even be remembered when we leave here; or what it is that we will be remembered for. I hope you feel better soon, Ron. Excellent poem, lots of insight gracing your verses.
