Left Field It came from the left-hand of time, just out of sight, to the right. It came without rhyme or reason, or sound, or season, but… the time just wasn't right. It just came, like the night. It upset the nature of things, throwing plans out the window, putting them on new wings. So is the order of things. You sensed it was coming, but don't. You denied it was so wrong, but won't. Reality is now upside down, you smile, but inside… you frown. Your up has become down, all because it came, out of left field. Copyright 2011 © Ronald W. Hull 7/29/11

I liked the arrangement and the flow of the lines, the topic is engaging and the title really appropriate. The unexpected always takes us by surprise and challenges the reflex...which sadly slows down with age :-) Cyn

Ron, what a splendid out of the blue. Massive storm, flood, fire whatever. We are never fully prepared no matter what.
