Just working my way up hill…

Poem Artwork

 Mind Pedaling

Have been busy,
pumping them out.

Like riding a bicycle,
straight, smooth, and stout.

Sometimes you just want to coast,
downhill to the sea.

Where I know you'll be waiting,
waiting for me.

Where the blood begins pumping,
power to the brain.

Some call it passion,
some call it pain.

But now I'm climbing,
pumping so hard.

To reach the pinnacle,
the land of the Bard.

Will I ever get there?
In my mind's eye I will.

For that mighty mountain,
is only a hill.

If I could only just get over it.

Every day for me is a hill to climb and I find solace when I hit the pillow at night! When I read this, I heard in my mind's eye, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I know I can, you did through words!

You are amazing!

The last thing you want to be is over the hill. Even the downhill slope contains potholes and at high speed, well you know. You're getting close to that pinnacle. Linger a bit and enjoy. Patrick

The World is full of able people going nowhere....

...lacking imagination, but...just to have it isn't

enough, either.

We have to explore it actively in order to appreciate it.

For this very reason, my new, white canvas is never empty,....

....but everything I imagine it to be....

"Imagination rules the world" - Napoleon Bonaparte

"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited.

Imagination encircles the world". - Albert Einstein.

Your poem, my Friend, is a celebration of a poetic imagination,

true craft honed, perfected over time...

Warm regards. Isabella.

A sigle even or strifes in life both share this struggle. Pain and passion are always there in everything. Your determination is well paced to succeed in everything here. Well written motivational poem.

Stay well and keep writing

When your mind has achieved what it wants
it will pedal right over the top of the hill
and keep going for more as it is a never ending
library of thoughts you present to us Ron...

Ron, savor the climb it is where the rewards and joy are appreciated. What lies at the summit? An easy coast down hill that offers no reward of accomplishment. When you've reached the summit look to the horizon and hope you can spy another higher summit awaiting you. I wish you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

Ron,

If your mind's eye can see it then achievement is immanent. Don't give up or give in and as always....dream big!

Hi Ronald,
Having just been banned from yet another poetry site for disrespecting the self-appointed hierarchy.

Whilst, at the same time miraculously dodging the hand of fate elsewhere in life.

One is left wondering what all those meaningless titles add up too, in the great scheme of things.

A sense of achievement is wonderful, provided one does not try to live by it, for then one truly does inherit Ixion’s wheel.

Best Regards,

Mor.

"Will I ever get there?" An interesting notion. Attaining a place where we find the satisfaction we've sought and worked so diligently for. Where is THERE, ron? What is that mythical place i wonder. A shelf in the pantheon of poets and writers? A place of recognition and respect? A writers enlightenment in a desert experience? I can assure you that making a lot of money with ones writing is NOT that place. And I can also assure you that it's not on AD. The superlatives and false flattery so many employ to bring attention to themselves has little significance. Being honest and accurate and remaining true to your calling is far more important than superficial acceptance. Your work is consistent, coherent, logical, and ordered these days. As I see it you've stayed true to your calling and honed your voice. And you've done so against great odds. Maybe that's your 'there'. Peace to you ... richard
