When an opportunity comes along for us to act, I think it is wise to move forward and leave the past behind.

Tarry

Now is not the time to tarry,

for even though you are wary,

the world is in a hurry,

and you must keep up.

Although you may be weary,

and circumstances make you teary,

troubles come in a flurry,

it's time to fill your cup.

Fill it with kindness a plenty,

fill it with strength a mighty.

Throw off that cloak of weary,

and take two giant steps up.

For there is no virus stealthy,

that will keep you from being healthy,

when the lines start to get blurry,

make sure to sharpen them up.

Up ahead is a shining reality,

where all are treated with fealty.

Where all will leave behind poverty,

enjoying the bounty they sup.

For the bounty of this earth is great.

We must all share it before it is too late.

Must give all creatures their due.

And do the same for others, if I were you.

Don't try, get busy.

Time's a wasting.

It's a long way ahead,

before we are through.

INDEED, THIS IS TRUE...MANY, ESPECIALLY DURING THIS TIME OF PANDEMIC HAVE SLOWED DOWN AND WE HAVE A TENDENCY TO PROCRASTINATE. THANKS FOR THIS NUDGE! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Finding a way to keep on track with what we've been put through these past 4 years is indeed a challenge, but your words bring some levity and wisdom to the reader and that is a good addition to one's consideration of how to go forward. Enjoyed this, Ron.

We can only benefit by optimism and moving forward--individually and as a nation.

I'm glad to see an optimistic poem. So many poems are dark and dreary (to quote Poe) that it's a breath of fresh air and a golden sunrise to read one that isn't.

Good advice, Ron. And there is no purpose served by waiting, delaying, lagging, dawdling... ...hoping and wishing. For time stops for no one. Thank you for sharing your philosophical point of view, Ron. Love, peace, and best wishes to you and yours,

Regis. 🌲🌳🌺🍂🍁

I can almost hear a sigh of relief in your words. Our way is clearing. Let's get to work!
