Forever
Forever is a very long time.
When people speak of it,
they don't have a reason,
don't even have a rhyme.
Forever stretches off into infinity,
before the beginning of time.
Only a concept in physics,
most people don't understand.
For a child on a long trip,
"When are we going to get there?"
Seems like forever in their mind.
Likewise, growing up's the same.
But life goes by very quickly,
and we shouldn't really miss out,
waiting just for forever,
immersed in longing and doubt.
In old age forever comes quickly,
before we know it, we are old.
Best spend the time to the fullest,
for we may never be so bold.
We get there in a wink of an eye,
in forever time's long scale.
Best to spend time while we can,
rather than in this life just pine.
And if you want to be with forever,
your soulmate of this brief life,
think again of the consequences,
of how boring or filled with strife.
Elysian Fields are here on earth,
enjoy them while we can.
Why wait for some new birth,
and waste our precious time?

GOD HAS ALLOWED GOOD AND EVIL TO EXIST HERE BECAUSE...HE DOESN'T WANT 'ROBOTS', BUT THOSE WHO HAVE THE GOD-GIVEN, FREE-WILL TO TRULY 'CHOOSE' TO ESCHEW EVIL AND SPEND 'FOREVER' WITH HIM. FOREVER MEANING, MORE THAN A VERY LONG TIME, BUT...HAVING NO END.
ESCHEWING EVIL IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT GOD, AND HE KNOWS IT. HE SENT 'HIS WORD' SO THAT WE COULD LEARN OF HIM AND COME TO KNOW THIS TOO.HE(DIVINITY) PUT ON FLESH(HUMANITY) AND WALKED AMONG US SO THAT HE COULD FEEL WHAT WE FEEL AND BE TEMPTED AS WE ARE TEMPTED AND YET...STILL OVERCOME. HE PROVED IT COULD BE DONE. AND HE 'OVERCAME' NOT BECAUSE HE WAS GOD...SINCE HE USED NO DIVINE POWERS WHILE HE WALKED ON THIS EARTH, HE OVERCAME, AS HE KNOWS WE CAN OVERCOME...BY CALLING ON GOD(HE TURNED ASIDE AND PRAYED OFTEN, ALONE)AND WALKING WITH TOTAL FAITH IN GOD.
WHAT'S HARD FOR US, IS TO SEPARATE THE SPIRIT FROM THE HUMAN BODY.
THE SPIRIT DOES NOT AGE...IT IS NOURISHED BY WHAT IT IS FED. THAT IS, GOOD OR EVIL.
IT IS THE BODY THAT IS GOING TO DIE, HOWEVER THE SPIRIT WILL NEVER DIE. IT IS ETERNAL AND LIVES FOREVER...HAS NO END.
IT IS THE SPIRIT WHICH GIVES THE BODY LIFE...WHEN THE SPIRIT LEAVES THE BODY...THE BODY DIES.
THE BODY MADE OF DUST, RETURNS TO DUST... THE SPIRIT IS THE BREATH OF GOD AND RETURNS TO GOD TO BE JUDGED...IT IS ETERNAL IN THAT IT CAME FROM OUR ETERNAL GOD.
SO, WE AS SPIRITUAL BEINGS COVERED WITH FLESH, WERE BORN IN SIN INTO THIS 'TEMPORARY' WORLD...SO THAT WE WOULD HAVE A 'CHOICE' AS TO WHERE WE WANT TO SPEND...'FOREVER'(ETERNITY).
THIS THEN, IS NEW BIRTH; TO RECOGNIZE THAT WE ARE ONLY PASSING THROUGH THIS EARTH, AND THIS IS NOT OUR HOME. AND CHOOSING TO WANT TO FEED OUR SPIRIT WITH THE LIGHT OF GOD SO THAT WE ARE ENABLED TO LIVE FOR GOD WHILE WE ARE HERE IN THIS TEMPORARY PLACE...ON OUR WAY TO FOREVER...TO OUR HOME...WHICH HE HAS PREPARED FOR US.
GOD IS NOT A LIAR. IN HIS WORD HE DID NOT PROMISE US A TROUBLE-FREE LIFE HERE IN THIS 'TEMPORARY' PLACE. IN FACT HE TOLD US THAT WE WOULD HAVE TRIBULATIONS HERE... BUT PROMISED, THAT NO MATTER WHAT WE FACE...HE WOULD BE WITH US AND TAKE US THROUGH IT ALL. AND I BEING ONLY ONE OF MANY CAN TESTIFY THAT THIS IS...ABSOLUTELY TRUE!
LET'S KEEP SOMETHING IN MIND...NO MATTER HOW BEAUTIFUL WE THINK THIS EARTH IS, THE WORD OF GOD TELLS US...EYES HAVE NOT SEEN, NOR EARS HEARD THAT WHICH GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE THAT LOVE HIM.
IN OTHER WORDS...WE CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO IMAGINE...THE BEAUTY OF 'FOREVER'...! IT BEING SO MUCH GREATER THAN WHAT WE CAN SEE NOW OR HAVE EVER SEEN.
FOR, FROM WHENCE SIN ENTERED THE WORLD IN EDEN...THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH HAS BEEN 'TAINTED' MORE AND MORE. SO, WHAT WE NOW BEHOLD IS ACTUALLY COVERED WITH THE DIMNESS OF THE GARDEN'S SIN...THUS, THE WONDROUS, AWESOME, STUPENDOUS BEAUTY THAT AWAITS US!!!
LET US NOT FORGET SOMETHING; WE CANNOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. WE MUST MAKE A CHOICE. THE WORD OF GOD CLEARLY TELLS THAT WE CANNOT PARTAKE OF MAMMON(WORDLY, EVIL, TEMPORARY PLEASURES)AND GOD TOO. WE MUST MAKE A CHOICE. THUS WE HAVE THE PARABLE OF THE TWO ROADS; ONE CROWDED AND THE OTHER...WITH HARDLY ANYONE WALKING THERE. IT IS MORE THAN ENCOURAGING AND AT THE SAME TIME REVELATORY... WHEN ONE CONSIDERS; 'WHATEVER' WE EXPERIENCE ON THIS EARTH...IT IS TEMPORARY! IT WILL END!
BUT HALLELUJAH...WE CAN 'CHOOSE'THE BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD THAT ARE ETERNAL!!!! AND THAT IS WHAT I SEE... A PERPETUAL CITY...NOT MADE BY HANDS!
GIVE ME FOREVER!...GIVE ME NEVER ENDING...! GIVE ME JESUS!!!

“Will daddy be an old man someday?”.
“Why yes, baby. I hope so.”
“And will you be old someday, too, Mommy?”
“Yes, Mitchie. God willing. Unless something bad happens, I’ll be an old lady someday.
“And me too, Mommy, I’ll be old, too?”
“Yes, baby, someday.”
His throat tightening, his eyes stinging, the boy began to cry.
“What’s wrong, honey?” Reaching into her purse, removing a handkerchief, she wiped away his tears.
"I don’t want to be old, Mommy!”
Stooping, “Shhh,” hugging her son to her chest, “don’t worry, Mitchie. You’ve a whole lifetime ’till you’ll be an old man.”
Standing, taking hold of her son’s hand, the two began to walk again.
