Yesterday, an annoying stressful situation caused by a bureaucrat "just following the rules" reared its ugly head again. After months of waiting and worry last year, I found a free legal service for the disabled. One letter from the lawyer quickly and completely solved the problem. But here she is, doing the same thing again this year. I know I can solve the situation easily, but it is still stressful.

When Rog and Ron Tipped Over the Beehive It Caused Mom and Rags Much Stress

When Stress Comes

When stress comes unexpectedly into our lives,

the only thing to do is face it head-on.

For there are bees let loose from their hives,

to sting us until we get them long gone.

But, busy bees of the hive hierarchy,

redirect, multiply and newly begin.

They have little memory of past regress,

as they rebirth over and over again.

When you know you have swatted them,

with what you thought was a final blow.

Only to return later with the same old,

same old as though they didn't know.

After reminding them that they cannot win,

with their tiny bee brain mentality,

it is time to put their perpetual ruse,

into the trash bin of perpetuity.

When through with the new reminder,

it is time to stop working and relax.

Once you put that queen bee to rest,

stress will subside, but never totally lax.

The nature of stress these days,

multiplies in many, many ways.

INDEED...OUT OF THE BLUE, STRESS WILL ALIGHT FOR ALL. I AM JUST GRATEFUL FOR THE MANY DIFFERENT POSITIVE AND EFFECTIVE WAYS WE ALL HAVE OF HANDLING SUCH TIMES. WE ARE ENABLED TO GO THROUGH TO THE SOLVING OF OUR PROBLEMS, RELYING TOTALLY ON THE VARIOUS COUNTLESS 'MODES' WE BELIEVE AND HAVE FAITH IN.... THAT HAVE PROVED THEMSELVES WORTHY. OF COURSE, YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW AND WITH WHOM... I OVERCOME SUCH DAYS(SMILE), AMEN. ENJOYED, MY FRIEND...THANK YOU. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Oh that it does dear Ron, and its up to us to recognize where the stress is coming from and if you can, put that Queen B, to rest once and for all. Nice poem, !

You are so right about stress, Ron. Facing it head on is not always easy but is what works. Well penned as always. It seems almost no one is concientiously doing their job and it makes it difficult for those they are supposed to be serving. I can't tell you how many times Jon Michael has to unravel a big mess because the person in charge is not doing their job.

Your last two lines: truer words were never spoken. I too have been dragged into various forms of bureaucracy and so can appreciate the subject that you are deftly touching upon. They assault with their rules, they get resolved, they come back. It seems never ending in addition to be full of form and heartless. I was on the phone the other day (something that I hate) talking to what I thought was a Medicare agent, only to realize halfway through the call that it was another insurance company different from my own, trying to steal me away from my commitment to my own company. Fortunately closing the call is easy and blocking the number even easier. Good topic to write on.

This read was entertaining and educational. It was nicely done, and the balance of information and lyrical sense of presentation made it very enjoyable.
