Teach me how to love you more,
Instructing me on how to count my days.
Though life is short and sometimes uncertain,
If I rely on you, in your care I'll stay.

Guide my thoughts as well as my actions,
Keeping all my body members in check.
Realizing that giving into snares
Only leads to spiritual shipwreck.

Aid me always in my journey,
While being realistic with my goals.
Help me guard my mental ability
And on the reins of my emotions, keep a tight hold.

By loving you more give me your protection,
Shielding me from hurt and harm.
When circumstances arise that threaten
May I be cautious but not filled with alarm.

Wherever my life may take me
