I come to the barn to write
Amidst the soft scent of pine
And the stronger musk of the horses
Here is where I find solace and peace of mind
Their movements rustle the sawdust
And their rhythmic munching on oats and hay
Tells of contentment and peace
And that all is well in their world
I sigh and let go of some, too long kept angst
As the peace of the barn settles round me
My thoughts flow and ramble away
For a time, all is well in my world as well
I can SEE you sitting by the side, with pen in hand writing what you have in mind, to share with those that need to know!
