Poetry by Liana Margiva

Poem Artwork

The humankind is plentiful on Earth
And each forsaken soul
Is pleading for salvation
And help Divine, and yet

I cherish modest hope
That you, Almighty hear
My prayer, screaming of my soul
Which pleads for wellbeing

Of a humble poet, who’s name
Was hidden from the people
Who hold him dear still.
I know, God, in the celestial garden

That holds the souls of happiness depraved,
The birds of Paradise sing to them day and night
To bring them joy they never knew before.
Where Sun is shining bright and basks the Earth
In tenderness of light.

It won’t give up until it warms the souls
That once sunlight denied.
In the celestial garden where Sun abounds
And grass is em’rald green,

The Poet of  Poets to You will write his verse
And flood your kingdom with his words divine.
Those words are known only to the poet,
Revealed to him by God himself.

The verse is poet’s soul, it bears the pain
And joy that coexist on dusty shelves
As centuries go by, afraid not of the Time,
Their age with wisdom tightly intertwined.

The poet’s star will shine through Time
Long after our flesh in dust returns.
I know, God, you cherish poet’s faith,
But please, don’t hurry to reclaim his soul.

For many years may his verse ring loud
And please the ears of adoring crowd.

We don’t begrudge you, God
That once upon a time Georg
Mateos you endowed with gift divine,
Not even fact that none of us
Mateos ever will surpass.

Our love for poet is not less than yours
And our plea to thee is not rehearsed.
We pray that mercy you will grant again
And keep on Earth for many years this man!

Liana,

This is such a beautiful tribute to Georg. This is a rather old poem, did they ever find him?

I pray daily for his well being. Nobody seems to know anything about our Georg except that he was ill and then disappeared. All efforts to find out anything more have been futile.

Thank you for the lovely poem that obviously came from deep within your soul.

You have proven that you have a heart of gold, Liana. This is an unselfish act on your part to honor another poet such as this and with such beauty in your lines. I shall pray that our Creator hears your plea.

I pray for his return. He is the father of our Den group. I wrote a message to all my friends and no one has any news at the moment.
I also wrote to Georg and as far as I now he is recovering.
God Bless him and give him good health. Amen Your Emile

Liana,a finer tribute I do not recall seeing. Your words are spiritually elevating and ring with sincere hope and confidence. Georg is a man of great principle and as others have suggested, a father figure to those of us in the den. May love and peace be with you my dear friend. Jon Michael

Liana!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a superb poem, one of your best yet I think--but then I may say that with all of your talented, creative poems that speak from the soul. I truly admire your work and wish I could write even half as well.

Love and stuff,

Truly he is a gift from God to all in AD. He is a tough old warrior who is fighting the grim reaper but we know he will win with God's help and be with us for as long as God will spare him. Thank you for such a wonderful poem about a noble poet, Georg Mateos.
