When I was but a little girl, my Mama said to me, "Let's set your little table and have a cup of tea." She let me wear her "taffeta" and her brooch of filigree; She pinned a rose up in her hair and made a pot of tea. Mama made some sandwiches and trimmed off all the crust. She cut them once, then once again; Oh, my did Mama fuss! I never will forget the day when Mama put on tea, and we sat and sipped from dainty cups, Just Mama, and Dolly, and me.

This poem is absolutely adorable and I enjoyed every line...the images of Mother fixing tea actually brought the smell of tea to my sense of smell and I took a seat beside all of you.

There is something very special about "Teatime" and especilly when its for young children. Your poem is gentle and sweet and reminds me of the little tea set I had as a child. What a great imagination that little tea set inspired.
