Bestest Friend

There ain't nuthin' like a friend,
front ta back an' end ta end;
Spesh'ly one that gots 4 feet.
(Wish I had 4 -- that'd be neat!)

An' if he gots a waggly tail,
I betcha that he'll neber fail!
When ya cry an' feel bad,
he'll help ya not ta be so sad.

Ya kin throw a ball fer him to chase,
er try t' ketch him in a race.
He'll lick yer face an' make ya giggle;
If ya hold him, he gots ta wiggle!

When Mama says it's time fer bed,
he'll snuggle up, li'l sleepyhead,
An' even when yer all growed up,
yer bestest friend'll be yer pup

And God said, "Let the earth bring forth every kind of animal--
