To tell her that she's beautiful,

a litle girl needs her dad.

She needs the refuge of his strength

when she is feeling sad;

To know he's her protector

with arms that  hold her near,

With daddy-love to snuggle her

and help to dry each tear.

She needs to be his precious girl

when giggles tumble out,

And sometimes get a horsey-back

or share a tomboy shout!

Her daddy needs to honor her

with calm and steady tone;

She needs to know that daddy-love

will always be at home.
