Sugarplum was sabotaged by a tick. The tick preventative I faithfully applied didn't keep them away from her, and she contracted Lyme Disease.
I never dreamed this energetic, fun-loving little friend would have to be put down at just 5 years of age.
CONSIDER GETTING A LYME-PREVENTING SHOT FOR YOUR PETS THIS YEAR! I don't know about the rest of the country, but Ticks are prevalent in Eastern PA.

There was a time when ticks were just a nuisance, and we and our pets didn't get sick from them. But sadly, things have changed for the worse. Even the mosquitoes can be quite deadly now. I give all of my pets monthly tick and heartworm preventatives, but I also worry as well.
