Explosive thunder

Raucous ear-splitting drumbeats

Seething charcoal clouds

 

Hot streaks of lightning

Wildly careening through sky

Strike random targets

 

Panicked pup whimpers

Storm releases phobia

Sheltering lap – Now!

Well-described poem about thunderstorms. I have 3 cats here in this house, and they're all afraid of thunder and lighting. They hide underneath the beds when that happens.
