I love these challenge writes as they make one stop and examine their own lives giving us the opporutnity to retrace our steps, look into the future, and get to know each other better. I loved Michelle's challenge as I did Shee's hope many more take the challenge! Again, I apologize for the length but it's hard to sum up what we feel so passionate about...hope you enjoy! I took this picture from my front yard!

I am Seila Grenon's daughter what a beautiful and inspiring write...I wished I lived down there in Kentucky..It looks like a beautiful place too live..I love your poem.
And... I never saw this till NOW! Shame on me..Darn it... I'm sorry Lady J!
This is simply superb!!!
Long and for good reason, YOU needed to share all this, as your heart and soul was ready!
I loved what YOU Love, even peanut butter out of the jar, and Gardening, finding that inner peace and rest while working outside for hrs!
I know you love your job/school and the children, they inspire you (as you allow them too) daily - That I do know...
YOu wrote this with such ease and focus! I thoroughly ENJOYED! this challenge and mostly this poem!
Thank YOU for sharing your open soul!

Your life is rich in the rewards God has blessed you with Joyce. Great write. I can't remember what coal smelled like when we used it in our furnace in my childhood days. I do remember the smell of wood, (kindling wood) as mom called it...M
I love your passion and your deep appreciation of nature and your appetite for Life and closeness to Earth amd generosity and kindness and committment and so much more!! Thank you, Joyce!!! Love Always, and Then, Phyllis ....PS: Awesome photo you took. No wonder you love your place. What a picture to wake up to!! xOx
exquisite reply to Shee's challenge -- you have struck a bond with me -- for the mountains and I have an affinity for each other - not a year has passed in the last thirty-eight or more of my life -- when the mountains have not had me as their visitor - Virginia's Skyline Drive, Pennsylvania's Poconos, The Blue Ridge Mountains, The Great Smoky Mountains, The Rockies, The San Francisco and all of the of those I did not mention -- surely God's Gardens of Eden everyone -- my June vacation was spent mostly in the Great Smoky Mountains -- peace and happy writing -- JMW
I love reading your poetry and getting a blessing from it! As the gloomy storm clouds of life gather, your poetry is a safe haven where I can rest awhile! HUGS! SC
A lot of peace in your writing Joyce. You also exhibit a soft strength that, I'm sure, comes from living in such a marvelous place. Beautiful image - what a blessing of a view! I also concur with Ceteris and with dear Louisa.
I hope all is well
Blessings and love ...
Richard
