Cherokee..........

                  Angelic kitties all keep busy,
             from early morning until night.
             Running all through the house,
          sometimes they seem to take flight.

                   Always full of mischief,
               their eyes how they sparkle.
               Climbing up the bookcase,
                   oops! Now a debacle.

                         One of three
                   has mastered the art.
                   She tried a new path,
                    by climbing in part.

                   First, she steps back,
                  to pick up some speed.
                   One leap she makes,
                just enough for her need.

                       A quiet little girl,
               usually sweet and loveable.
               Never would have thought,
           she could cause so much trouble.

         Very late at night when all is quiet,
         her spot she claims above my head.
       She pats the pillows, gently with care,
            then settles in to share our bed.

        When you see her scoot backwards,
                 do not sound the alarm.
             That is my sweet Cherokee,
           being witty and full of charm.
