With all the rain and storms that have been happening, it has me wondering.........

Poem Artwork

                                 Our Path*

Woke up this morning expecting to see,
the sun shining bright and gloom on its way.
Opened the drapes, peeked through the blinds,
it was dark, raining, just another sad day.

Began to wonder how could this be,
everyday is the same, no sun in sight.
Could it be, the rain that I see,
is not rain, but tears for our fight..

Are the angels above crying for us,
as the path we have chosen is not the best.
        Anger, hatred, animosity and war,
makes us so weary the angels can not rest.

Is God sending us all a message,
asking us to think about what is right.
Will angel tears continue to fall,
until we change our ways, repair our plight.

Our crops will die, lives will falter,
how could this be, what have we done.
Have we lost our way, created doubt,
or is my imagination on the run.

As I try to observe the situation at hand,
angel tears are falling harder it seems.
We must find a way to right the wrong,
before we can see streaks of sunlight beams.

If we stop, turn around, follow his law,
angels will stop crying and begin to smile.
Longing for the day when peace will reign,
to know the angels will be happy for awhile.

Such a wonderful write my friend, it is amazing that I was just thinking yesterday about the drout that we are experiencing here in Kentucky as other southern states are as well. The grass is crunching beneath our feet, the crops are drying up, creeks that once anxiously flowed are now at a stand still, we keep expecting rain, but nothing more than a sprinkle, not enough to settle the dust. The heat has been terrible, May has felt like July or August. Maybe the heat is a bit of wrath from God, trying to get our attention, a wake up call! Enjoyed the powerful meaning within your write my friend!

Funny how we are fighting a war while being told by evangelists that this is God's way. So much is done using God's words warped by man to suite man's needs. I found beauty from your words that the angels are crying for us. I really believe you have the truth here and it is much appreciated. Thank you for sharing. Liz

Such a nice inspiration of expressions...you show many of the spiritual emotions I think the same way
Every time it rains I think
That is God tears because of the chaos our world is in
But I guess it could be angels tears!
Love this poem it brings things prospective
And as always Robert...Your pictures are outstanding

It's something I wonder about also Karen.
These faults are created by greed, in my
humble opinion. Angels shouldn't have to
cry, I don't think.

An excellent thought provoker you have penned in beautiful lines: my Karen was asking me the other day if God was mad at Texas, because of all the rain and storms! Well done! I concur with Lena, one of your best. Well done!

Karen, What an outstanding and insightful write you've penned. You have struck the nail on the head. Here is a verse of Scripture I found just last week: "But if the wicked will turn from all their sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die." Ezekiel 18:21. Perhaps the angels are trying their hardest to wake us up and turn us around. Great write, Karen. I enjoyed this one. It's one of your very best. Thank you.

God Bless
Much love and hugs

Karen,
This is written in such a way that it could stand the test of time and have been written during the time of your most recent blog as well as the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam, or today's war headed by a certain President Geo. W. Bush.
Very well written and full of pain and agony WITH the knowledge that tomorrow will be a better day.

Every time I see a little church I wonder how all the love of God can be inside with such a little place at His disposition.
But has long as we mantain or faith, we will never lose the path not the direction, despite wars or anger, greed or abject poverty.
