They say the Sea has as many mysteries as space for us at present ... what of our own inner being, what lies beneath the surface of the average face you see on the street.

Poem Artwork

“Deep within my soul lies a dark cavernous hole where my thoughts often wander amidst subterranean rain innermost wants desires feelings fall like subterranean rain.

Cold silver-sanded beaches stretch along distant unseen shores deep desires here may wander and are often seen no more Ill-considered follies’ deepest feelings; held at bay in the darkness here they frolic and like water babies’ play

Like innocents they play - swim the cool refreshing lake seek my fears to somehow slumber desires-thirst to somehow slake try to staunch incessant wanting assuage intermittent pain in the deep refreshing waters of subterranean rain

Disembodied dreams… lost wandering garish cold   hypothermic beings never living to grow old nor enduring through inception hardly feeling life or pain drowned at moment of conception in subterranean rain

Drowning feelings and perceptions in subterranean rain

Coldness like doom hunger-like pain no Sun’s warming light… suppressing subterranean rain”

I often meander along a blank canvas in search of a sensation upon which to drop my intuitive anchor. My canvas only has the dark background painted. Submerged within this is my periodical frayed brush strokes of darker still pessimism. Occasionally, with brush in my other hand, a face appears that blossoms into optimism.

I had to walk alongside you here, Jeff.
