Our spring comes about now, next week all forecast is in seventies...;-)
In times of sweet harmony All of nature speaks to me Precious spring is ready To burst forth in its glory I see seeds starting to bloom To take away winters gloom The ice that covers branches Giving way to leaves advances All the earth is singing a tune That renewal is coming soon Get ready for the pregnant day When new births come our way Let frost give way to rites of spring Enjoy the days of fun filled flings
Beautiful welcoming poem, Eileen. I just can't wait! We've had a very mild winter. Lots of days in the sixties. But, now that the trees are budding out, we get an ice storm!
It will be quite awhile before we see those temperatures here in the N. Easy.I'm having my whole house reinsulated to save on fuel costs which are sky high as you know. Just said bye to two of my great grand sons who were over for my birthday party.
Wintry here, too...Karen busted her yo-yo when she slipped on the thin glaze of ice left by freezing mist. Deceptive. Cold. Windy. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I'm ready for warmer temps, but Karen doesn't agree. Now, the storms? Don't need 'em, don't want 'em.
Love this beautiful, hopeful write--better days ahead!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Wintery down heah in the swamp for the last few days. Before that the birds were chirping and carrying on, guess they are shocked. That photo is déajà vue to what I did yesyerday. A new neighbor has one while bunny rabbit in the backyard with her three cats. Couldn't believe it, got some pictures of it yesterday and today . . . you put this up.
I love spring, and the signs are bursting out all over here, daffodils , crocus, snowdrops, and birds beginning to build their nests, and the wood pigeons are already lazily cooing in the warming spring sun !
This is a refreshing and invigorating poem that primes us for the end of winter, and the new beginnings of spring !
The picture reminds me of Ed Matlack's pic of the chicken and pussy in his Fight poem today !

I have to agree with Soul, I think that big bunny will beat feet on that cute pussy...and did I need to know that your temps are going up into the 70s? Per my outside temp gauge it is 28 degrees in the sun...Rufuz loves it, though I enjoyed the balmy winter we were having after the snow last weekend...60 for three days running and only down to 50 at night...gotta love it...ed & RUFUZ
I loved the poem, but I actually hate spring. We live in Texas; tornadoes are most common in spring. With no basements to go to, we have to go to our claustrophobic half-bath, which serves as our "hidey hole". NOT good, and DEFINITELY not fun!! (I have been in one tornado; Karla has been in FIVE. DON'T care to be in anymore tornadoes, thankyewverymuch!)
I enjoyed your poem, and the picture is adorable. Always a joy to read ya! BRAVA!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
Another spirit-lifter, thanks, we are soooo looking forward to spring! (Even though we really did not suffer a lot of cold winter, we are just spoiled:))

I am looking forward to the return of the Spring........however the photo in its own way shows the fight of March :-) Wonderful uplifting write! :-)
Forced to put the schooner Heimdall into dry-dock for repairs and modifications, the crew chooses to holiday in Southern Utah so they can rendezvous with the Professor, a brilliant confidant from Rabat. What he shares at the summit stuns the crew and
thst cat lookis like it can jump that rabbit any moment...interbreading I guess....lol!!
