Poem Artwork

Two moths could have been dancing
to a waltz by Strauss, with every
sway~ their  color irridescent grey
mixed with torquoise~offered a
fascinating choice~

My thoughts turned all fanciful hoping
with romance I'd soon be filled, being
in love with the thought of love and
having none of its side effects~except
what dreams suspect~

The sun was getting ready to make its
wondrous beauty known  as it set~
and before it said goodnight, it's flame
and  yellow light~ streaked through the
heavens like a rocket in flight~

I needed arms to surround me, kisses to
ignite me~caresses to excite me~
poetic love words whispered in my ear
magic touches that bring me ever near
to let your body implode mine with a
climax most divine~

What better way to match the beauty of the
sky as the sun says goodbye and the moon
says hello with its gorgeous starglow~ and I
know nothing can ever be this good until it
is understood that the beauty of creation
resides within the creator~

~etw~

You orchestrated this one with verve and elan, Eileen...
crescendoing with the cymbalic clash: 'the beauty of creation
resides within the Creator!!!

Outstanding!

Strauss is one of my favorite composers and this poem is as perfect as the music that he left here for us to enjoy, still today. With God all things are possible; without Him, we are lost!

All the best.....

I took a pic last night of the clouds, and they looked something like what you present. Longing, love, and inspiration in each beautiful line. BRAVA, Eileen!

You remind me of the New Year's Day Concert from Vienna, a yearly appointment for me, where a large orchestra give us the fine waltzes of the Strauss family. Actually we get polkas too, but who cares. It is beautiful music with background ballerinas dancing love away and it all ends up with two favorites: The Blue Danube and Radinski's March. Wonderful poem. Victor
