Poem Artwork

my eyes deceive me while
in this state of transition

trying to understand this weird
person you have become

daunted by arcane images
metamorphosing before me

eerie voices sounding like a monks
mantra seduce my befuddled senses

how often you have burned me
like a lambent flame

is this self delusion, or is it truly
an apparition obstructing my way

will i never get out of this maze
where doubt and confusion reign

your shape-shifting ways have caught
us in a journey of
 actions insane

you care not that you have become
the cause of my misery and pain

etw-2009-i think;-)

Eileen,
This seems to give power to the idea that we never do really know someone. Some great lines in this poem! Love and Hugs,

without these brief introspection forays, our transitory journey through life would prohibit our emotional growth -- our self worth needs to be on a parallel path with reality and the mission we serve -- this is a powerful view you have penned -- it can serve all that examine its worth -- may love grace your life with peace and joy my dear friend -- Jon Michael

Eileen - This is a wonderful poem, as I read again, then again, so many different emotions. 'is this self delusion, or is it truly
an apparition obstructing my way' Gives one reason for pause. Warmth and Love to you, Carin'

Eileen,
This is a challenge to self, to all our selves, and unless we go though it the chances are we don't emerge into the light. I love where you go with this, always thoughtful, always felt.

I really do hate when Jasmin takes the words of my mouth or this case the ink tank.
But I will say it anyway. It is not the chant of a butterfly but the mortified complain of a moth talking to the flame.
Nice done sis.

Love that word 'lambent'
Lucent, luminous, aglow, kinda like yur personality chum.
I'd like to know who this 'you' is, (unless of course it's just a generalization of loves intrigues) cause I'd perhaps have to kick some booty. Great imagery in this!
Blessings ...

This is powerfully emotive, Eileen, hope it's just the Muse and not your reality. Said a prayer for you, will continue. Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

morphing into a butterfly from the chrysalis, till the light breaks through and you fly away with wings of beauty and winds of song as beautiful as the one I just hear, the one you send, beautiful combination and fusion of sound and beauty notes! Just don't break the mirror with the other person in it, you are changing, or will be.
My compliments! and Hugs! Jasmin Horst
