Silver sin - her knife as a mirror - to know her face, the reflection of the human race (against mortality)?
Hair and skin hidden, under the foggy veils of hideous projection, she carries a screen to supposedly protect herself.
Submissive women like her strive to turn known suffering into a source of pleasure; how sad, how clever.
Every decision she makes shows that air is so much heavier on feminine shoulders, still, today many have locked up their own right to simply complain.
Every step she takes proves that the ground is slippery and the only stick she can lean on is made of strong, meaningless denial.
The best intentions are the very gravestones on which she walks: overzealous perfection traveling to the heart, cutting off the carotid artery until the hemorrhage of emotions stains her sheets at night.
Where's the crystal box wherein the hunter was supposed to keep Snow-white's heart? Now they display her stepmother's bloodred clockwork in it before burying it far from sight.
It wasn't the mirror, but the hunter's gaze that separated the two generations, creating rivalry where once was understanding and vital transmission.
A wonderful expression of pain of a lost person seeking solace in love.Like her other poems also is an expression of sadness of like which touches heart of any reader. Congrats for wonderful poem indicating lost rythm of life- there is always a moring day after in poets life and work
Poor Snow White--cut down by the hunter's knife, though it never pierced her skin. So ironic. Love the "human race...(against mortality)", heavy air, leaning-stick of denial, the foggy veil that's for protection, that really is a projection...it's chuck full of ironies. Very pointed: Submission > lack of transmission > omition of self. Very cleverly written. --Charlie
"Every step she takes
proves that the ground is slippery
and the only stick she can lean on
is made of strong, meaningless denial."
This is so powerful, yes sometimes when you are suffering a loss, or at a loss, you do feel alone, and stepping takes all your energy. The denial factor does enter in, and that is why it is sometimes so difficult to move forward.
Thought provoking poem, I shall read it again. Thank you for such amazing words.

"All That She Lost" is a profound composition. Its imagery shows poetic-philosophical pictures in meaning and colors.
