A Little Empty~

Have you ever seen an old building dying?
It gives you  this sad feeling of loneliness
The mind starts to wander, and wonder of
All the reasons why someone would let this happen

Then the mind shifts to what
Has happened to all the people
The ones who had resided inside
The walls, they hold memories
Like forgotten places in both time and space

Yet looking at the sadness at the once glorious place
Where you know grand things once transpired
You wipe a tear from your eye
As you walk away and wonder

Why oh why did it die?
