I take pride in my "greenness,"
All those things that set me apart:
My loud and ready laugh,
My nordic blue eyes
That show only what emotion
I allow them to,
And even
My propensity
For using a dicitionary of words
When only a few will do.
Many want to change me
For I do not conform
To their ideas
Of what I should be,
While others, too few,
Accept and love me
For my many shades
Of green.

I celebrate
My greenness!
