Isn't it funny
How,
When you send your pain
Out into the universe,
Comfort comes back
In the simplest of ways?
A kitten's kiss
On the tip of my nose,
A dog's adoring gaze
As she snuggles
Against my leg,
A favorite song
From long ago
Suddenly playing
On the radio,
A late season flower
Blooming unexpectedly
In the corner of my garden...
All provide proof
That God has not forsaken me
And is quietly at work
In my life.
