It's fourteen degrees outside
As I shiver before the fire,
Dreaming, in defiance,
Of a gentle surf
Lapping at soft sands
And palm trees
Dancing gracefully
Before briney sea breezes.
I can't wait for the day
My dreams become real
And I find myself lounging,
Luxuriating in the warmth
Of the islands,
As I sip mai tais
And sign post cards
That say,
"Wish you were here."
:) This was like a breeze upon that ocean, and I was right there because of your vivid imagery, but then, pop! back in reality and a cold NY night, lol.
