Sitting here, entranced
By the warmth
Of the winter sun
Shining through
The French doors,
With soft music playing
Behind me,
With my mind
Deliciously empty
Of worry,
I tarry.
There are
So many things
I need to be
Doing,
Chores
And duties
And other
"Should'ves,"
But instead
I am spending
This stolen time
With myself
And with God.
Why hurry
When these moments
Are perfectly
Sublime?
I love basking in the sun and meditating about the here and now, the past and future, and nothing at all, as a soap of vitamin D to ward off depression. Wonderful thoughts on a wonderful day.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
