Poem Artwork

It’s another sad night

And I am filled

With a sense

Of emptiness

And yearning

For something

That has proven

Unattainable.

There is

A great loneliness

And a

Profound emptiness

That no religious dogma

Nor any secular panacea

Can fill.

What will it take

To bring peace

To my

Tortured spirit?

Maybe tomorrow

Will bring

The answer.

Maybe tomorrow

I will know.

A poignant poetic portrayal of the creeping paralysis, a malaise both morose and ubiquitous, ethereal and physical, mordant and vital with relentless questing energy. I sense you are about to find what you still haven't found but are zealously looking for. When you find it never let it go.

Maybe tomorrow, you could start a new. Try something different for a change… Stretch yourself into something that you were afraid to do in the past. In other words, change your routine for the better.
