Poem Artwork

Every day
The dream emerges,
Demanding to be loosed
From the confines
Of self doubt
And fear.
There is no true failure
Unless the dream remains
Unchased,
Unless the doubts are allowed
To continue and
To rule.
So the dream persists,
Pushing,
Pushing,
Pushing
For recognition,
Driving the dreamer mad
Until she surrenders
Yet again
And reinvents the dream,
Finding a new way of
Expressing it,
Finding a fresh voice
With which to keep it
Alive.

A new take on dreams that we can live by. I like your positive thrust in this one. May the dream become the reality.

Your dream could be a metaphor for your life. Trapped in an experience that you want to escape from. It could be that the dream keeps changing, making it more difficult to leave it behind.

My dreams, lately of me falling and crushing other people, kids and pets with my dead weight. Always very disconcerting. But when I awake and find that nothing has been crushed, I feel good.

Amazing! I hope and pray you dream good dreams from this day forward. Dreams are mentioned all over the Bible. They have meaning but they are not always clear. Sweet dreams to you, dream on!

I think you are on to something. I don't have sweet dreams.
Almost never dream of having great sex with someone I'd love to have great sex with. There is just a lot fighting, kicking, screaming and occasionally of bloody murder going on in my dreams. Assholes by the dozens manage to creep in uninvited. I don't always defeat them. I manage to awaken right before they kill me. Then I get up and throw cold water in my face so that I don't return to that dream. If I am like a computer purging old files, I need to be more selective in what I store.
