She's Not Me

I wrote that novel, I admit I did pen it
and created the unusual heroine in it
she is not me, that's basically true
but I don't reveal the real me to you

she's a bit impetuous and overbearing
but usually sensitive and overly caring
she's celtic and red with a fighting side
she hides most of the tears she cries

A nature lover and mystic seeker
she could be quieter, maybe meeker
she is a vixen, a temptress for sure
in bedroom scenes she's hot not demure

she can be a fierce foe or loving friend
she'll defend everyone's rights to the end
she's vain about her skin and auburn hair
if you play with her, you have to play fair

she's a complex character in my book
a mystery if you contemplate and look
readers have asked me if she is me
but the real me I'll never let you see
