I left servitude in Summer Of 1883
and married the master of the manse.
I often caught him lustfully ogling me
my posterior pinched at his every chance.
One day in the pantry he caught me alone
and proceeded to pull down my knickers.
Without even a “May I,” he rammed it home
amid both our moans and dirty snickers!
I determined I would not be only his toy
and I secretly decided I would have it all.
Serving his wrinkled wife became no joy.
I cringed and rankled at her every call.
So one day I brewed her some special tea.
Her Ladyship would no longer bother me.
At the funeral I pulled the old man aside
“I'm with child,” I whispered in his ear.
He knew from justice he could not hide
so he promised, “I'll marry you My Dear.”
No infant ever appeared but nuptials tied
made me the legal recipient of his riches.
In the secrecy of the pantry I'd often hide
with the brawny butler without his britches.
Oh, 'tis good to be the lady of the house
and have the servants at my beckon call.
The master is now a henpecked man/mouse
but I want the butler and I still want it all.
Come, My Dear Husband and have some tea;
I brewed it specially for you myself, you see.
When servitude has its benefits! Oh, Cecelia, what a wicked woman thou art!
Very insightful, Belle. I'm sure this sort of thing has played out many times with or without the poison tea. Most probably from one of your steamy novels.
Naughty Cecilia! The first thing that came to mind was the Simon and Garfunkel song 'Cecilia' and the lyrics that proclaimed, "Making love in the afternoon with Cecilia. Up in my bedroom. I got up to wash my face. When I come back to bed, Someone's taken my place. Celia, you're breaking my heart". Love the humor in this even though it is drama. I've lost my taste for tea though.
Cecilia and Lola sound as though they might be twin sisters, except I believe Cecilia has a little more spunk. Remember Lola?

A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
A marvelous write of such a daring Cecelia!
Enjoyed!
