Come Sit by the Fire

Come sit by the fire and we'll reminisce

Of some days gone by...of some days we miss!

We'll talk of old times, yes, good and the bad-

Of times we enjoyed, of times we were sad!

Come sit by the fire, yes let's sit a spell,

For sure we will find such stories to tell!

The ones we loved most, no longer are here,

But their mem’ries we will always hold dear!

Let's sit by the fire, for truly we know,

Life, like the ocean, creates ebb and flow-

The flames leap with strength, but soon will subside,

Then embers and ashes are left when it's died.

Let's sit by the fire, soon it will be gone,

And just as our life, one day will be done-

May we leave a mark that others will see,

Come sit by the fire…and watch it with glee!
