Oh, my! I had to read this when I saw the title. Spiders are everywhere in my part of NJ. I'm always checking before I squash to see if it's a brown recluse or black widow. Certain spiders I just toss back to nature.
And my cousin down home in New Orleans shares your misery; she was bitten by a recluse while cleaning out her linen closet. I'm not really afraid of them, but my son, 13, would run from the pic with the poem.
As John B., Jr. said, the recluse bite is a nasty one. Hope your recovery has gone well. Hey, at least the bugger sparked your creative flow. LOL

I think you'd better move to a country that has no venomous spiders !!
Hate to see anyone hurt, but the spider was just defending itself, I don't like them myself and would want to squish it too, but again, it doesn't know you were not going to hurt it, I hope it does not give you much pain, we have spiders too, but just like Ohio, not many large ones, I would freak if I were bitten by something large enough to pick up...feel better, Ed & rufuz

Woner why I turned down a ten year contract in a state that has, killer spiders, snakes, tornados, guns. (and the giant armadillo)
