Pray for me--bad day (AGAIN). Been having way too many of them lately. :(

Do my words even matter?? Are they being heard???

Poem Artwork

Am I sending words to their death
When out of my mouth they fall
Do they struggle or gasp for breath
Do they have any life at all

Do they lie there, broken, shattered
I heard their pitiful screams
Will their ashes then be scattered
Upon my fairytale dreams

Please tell me it's just a nightmare
Will my words ever be known
Will they die with me, unshared
Lost in a dark shadow zone

(((Karla)))

Never give up hope, and never give up the dream! I have the same dream you do; I would love to see my words in print myself, but feel as though at times I am beating my head against the wall. But as long as I still have breath in my body and still have the ability to write, I am going to continue to write because this is something the Lord gave to me, and I am NOT going to throw it away! And you shouldn't either; the Den would be a much sadder place without your compelling and varied writings! Stay strong, and know you are in my prayers! Love you!

As always, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >tears <

Karla, in Somali literature we say, throw a stone it will fall short. Throw a word it will reach the farthest corners of the world. Your words are being heard everywhere and by millions whom you do not know. Even after you have died you will still be living because your poetry is alive. Excellent poem. Get out of the blue

Superb poem Karla, but you already are being read by
more than you know. Many who copy your work and share too
I'm sure. So just keep praying and you'll get through this
trial as He has seen us through so many.

Many of us send words to their death - every day!

Powerful piece, Karla, and I love that eerie graphic.

Sorry Karla, no nightmare, just the reality you share with the rest of writerdom throughout the free world...and I love that pic reminds me of the scary woods near my home, Rufuz would be wanting to run into them and I, would just sit and wait for his return...LOL. Keep smiling as best you can, life sucks but better than the alternative...Peace & friendship, Ed & Rufuz
