Poem Artwork

I want to know what it means, 'being green.'
What can green teach me?  Does anyone know?
If I could learn from the color of green,
I'LL BOLDLY GO WHERE NO ONE'S DARED TO GO.

What does it mean, 'A deeper shade of blue?'
I fall into it and it teaches me.
What did I learn from the color of blue?
Empathy, and my writing became free.

Does anyone like the color yellow?
The color of sunshine, the words I write!
I learn a lot from the color yellow.
MY WORDS WILL STAND OUT IF THE COLOR'S BRIGHT!

I write of the exciting color red!
It sounds like fun, so I jump in, both feet.
I surround m y s e l f with the color red.
With red as my teacher, I am complete.

I write, because I want to know purple.
All of its complexities, all of its shades.
What can I learn from the color purple?
I'M BOLD!  I'M STRONG!!  AND MY WORDS WILL NOT FADE!!!

What a delightfully different aspect of "color," Karla!
I enjoyed this very much. Oh...purple is also "visionary"
and you sure were, here in this poem.
