Gotta warn you, this is a strange one. Don't know where it came from, but perhaps my upcoming cruise inspired this?? LOL I writes 'em as I gets 'em. Enjoy! :-)
"POETRY UPON THE WIND" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ i smell poetry in the air. a faint scent of ink on humid southerly breezes conjures images of my favorite poet's madness to capture the words he sees in his tequila glass dancing with the worm to a passionate salsa beat.
i want to be where the words are. so i dive into a tall glass of mexican rum and ai chihuahua there i am lying naked on a cozumel beach surrounded by latin lovers who love my meter and everything else about me.
the worm suddenly turns nasty. *p'tu!* it spits me out spinning through empty time and space back to my dull life with thoughts of mad poets who write words with meaning for those lonely girls who have no life who wish they could write their poetry upon the wind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nothing wrong with dreams of tequila sunrises. The ins and outs of this one are superb, Karla! Love it when the worm spits you out. The last part reminds me of long cold winter days at the YMCA, UW-Madison, looking out of the third floor window and listening to Simon and Garfunkel sing, "I am a rock, a fortress steep and mighty, .."
