Thank you, Poets, friends, for reading my words, and for your encouragement and prayers.

Poem Artwork

...and when I sow the seeds
of my words
in the fertile fields of
poetry,
I water them with tears,
knowing it
is my soul planted there.

...and when they bloom, I hope
you'll notice
them and won't pass them by:
pick one and
tell me how it smells and
how it looks
and if it's worth reading.

...and if you'll take it home,
there'll be a
reason to celebrate -
I will be
forever in your debt,
because you
took part of me with you.

(c) 2005, Karla Dorman.

So it is, Karla, in our art we first find ourselves, but then hope for that human connection to those who can see and hear and feel as we do...

this is oh so true...the words we read do imprint us, no matter how we feel about other things. politics, religion, none of it matters. nothing except the words, as expressions of the poet's soul, and true intentions. a heartfelt and prescient write, poet.

These are beautiful words, Karla. We sow, water, tend and we reap and we hope that others feed well off of our bounty. Nice job!
Take care,
Sherry

Beautifully said and superb theme that goes to the heart of all poets. Thanks for sharing and giving us the lovely flowers of your words to take home with us. I have quite a garden of them already;-)

Butterflys hover on flowers sucking in the nectar for as long as the nectar flows. Sometimes they stay for hours. Poets hover on words injecting nectar into each blossoming line until they get the sweet satisfaction and blooming results they planted. Sometimes they stay around for years. Hope you stay around Karla. You write a beautiful bouquet of words that compliments the butterfly, posy of wildflowers and baby's breath.

Beautiful words from a beautiful mind and spirit!
What a wonderful creation for me to read after coming inside on this gorgeous Georgia day, carrying a box of my very own new book,
Windmills Beyond La Mancha. You and I may now exalt the written word in our own way! Happiness to you, Kind Soul... - Bill
