Jack-O-Lanterns glow
from front porches, inviting,
on this chilly night;

pint-sized monsters and
ghostly goblins compete with
each other for treats;

kids of all ages
dressed up for the kill for a
night of frightful fun;

spiders grow into
amazing size and so do
the witches with them;

survival stories
from haunted house encounters
shiver while retold;

scary sounds echo
from neighboorhoods suddenly
transformed into haunts

everyone's dying
to visit 'fore the witching
hour turns this Poet

writing this strangeness
into a vampire bat...
MWAHHAHA...Nooooooooooo....BOO!!!!!!!!!!
