~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I find happiness on the business end of a pen, dipped in ink - when applied to a blank sheet of paper, I think of how God must have felt when He created Light. He saw that it was good (very good). It illuminates the dank, dreary spots that need airing; it allows me to purge the demons from my life that threatened to kill me in my sleep; it permits me to see the world with new eyes; and it lets me count the blessings in the midst of troubling hurricanes and drought - and you ask me why I write poetry? I don't know that poetry has ever actully saved me, but it has many times kept me from dwelling on the bad. I write and release it!

Writing, in general, is greatly theraputic but poetry is a lot more personal and allowes for a more indepth exploration and expression of all that imbeded in the soul. ~~Carmen
When you repeat this mind-conditioning treatment daily, you do construct your sub-conscious toward the realization that you are a poet and you set a timetable each day to accomplish each phase of your poetry, Karla. The universal light feeds into it. Blessed Be.
