My main man, Matt Kenseth, won the O'Reilly 300 on Saturday, and nearly won the Nextel race this afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas: with half a lap to go, Kenseth in the lead, Jeff Burton squeaked by and barely beat him at the checkered flag. Still and all, a pretty good weekend for Number Seventeen. :)

tracks; the aroma of sweet, sweet victory as evening approaches:
it's NASCAR'S perfume. It's addicting; hypnotic; so much fun to wear. :)
As a kid, I used to smell tire rubber. There was a place that recently closed called the Anderson Speedway where they did the Little 500 and we could hear the cars "whizzing by" like giant bees from where we lived. It was barely one mile away near the factor that closed. . .but that's not a good logistical description because in America just about ALL the factories have closed.

Ya know...My hubby is a nascar freak. Kenseth is the man. I have been fighting against liking nascar because I don't like to see the crashes but I keep finding myself yelling at Kenseth to FIND THAT DANG EXCELLERATOR! I know that Ford has a passing gear!! okay...i'm calm now.
Vrom...vrroomm...vrrrroooommmm!!!!!!!!!!! there we go girl, with the wind tugging at our asses as we disappear from view as our dust get in the eyes of the surprised onlookers.
